About Me
Eileen Moran has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 30 years. She attended SUNY @ Old Westbury and received a BA in Psychology. Dr. Moran then went onto Adelphi University and was graduated with a MSW in 1995. Her internships were in a vocational rehabilitation center, a youth outreach, and a school district on Long Island. Dr. Moran attended Simmons University's Doctor of Social Work (DSW) program and completed her capstone project April 2023. The project entailed the creation of an anti-bullying manual through the use of two theories. She has worked in the fields of death/dying, substance abuse, family and relationship counseling, eating disorder, and coping with significant diagnoses. Dr. Moran has volunteered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation as a "Wish Granter", the Alzheimer's Association, ANAD (Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders), NASW (National Association of Social Workers) and the American Red Cross. She was a mental health counselor through the American Red Cross and worked with the FDNY, NYPD, and the Transit Authority after September 11th. She is certified in Mindfulness, perinatal mood/anxiety disorders, and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing. Dr. Moran is an adjunct professor and published a children's bereavement book entitled, You Wouldn't Understand which is available on Amazon.
