About Me

Eileen Moran has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 20 years. She attended SUNY @ Old Westbury and received a BA in Psychology. Ms. Moran then went onto Adelphi University and was graduated with a MSW in 1995.  Her internships were in a vocational rehabilitation center, a youth outreach and a school district on Long Island. Ms. Moran has worked in the fields of death/dying, substance abuse, family and relationship counseling and coping with significant diagnoses. She has volunteered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation as a "Wish Granter", the Alzheimer's Association, ANAD (Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders), NASW (National Association of Social Workers) and the American Red Cross. She was a mental health counselor through the American Red Cross and worked with the FDNY, NYPD and the Transit Authority after September 11th. She is certified in Mindfulness and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing. Ms. Moran published a children's bereavement book entitled, You Wouldn't Understand which is available on Amazon.
